The Colombo High Court today refused to release Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galaboda Atte Gnanasara Thera on bail.
Accordingly, Colombo High Court Judge Adithya Patabendige rejected the bail application filed on behalf of Ven. Gnanasara Thera citing there are no special circumstances revealed before court to release Ven. Gnanasara Thera on bail.
The defence requested court to release Ven. Gnanasara Thera on bail pending appeal and moved court that the accused be released on bail taking into consideration the delay in concluding hearing of an appeal in the Court of Appeal and his health condition.
