{"id":4988,"date":"2025-11-03T08:52:37","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T03:22:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ceylontribune.com\/?p=4988"},"modified":"2025-11-03T08:52:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T03:22:37","slug":"10-arrested-in-kilinochchi-for-obstructing-stf-officers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ceylontribune.com\/?p=4988","title":{"rendered":"10 arrested in Kilinochchi for obstructing STF officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Five men and five women have been arrested for obstructing a group of Kilinochchi Police Special Task Force (STF) officers during a raid on an illegal alcohol operation in the Sudalakulam area of the Ramanathapuram Police Division, injuring two officers and freeing a suspect.<\/p>\n<p>However, a group of individuals armed with iron rods and wooden poles had attacked the officers, freed the suspect, and fled the scene, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Two STF officers who were injured in the attack are currently receiving treatment at the Kilinochchi General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, officers from the Ramanathapuram Police Station arrested 10 suspects, including five women, in connection with the assault.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects are aged between 16 and 32 years, while the female suspects are residents of the Ramanathapuram area and are aged between 26 and 45 years.<\/p>\n<p>They are scheduled to be produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate\u2019s Court today (03).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five men and five women have been arrested for obstructing a group of Kilinochchi Police Special Task Force (STF) officers during a raid on an&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":1466,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"iawp_total_views":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[2,4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4988","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-leadstories","category-local","entry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
