The Thinnai, a prominent hospitality establishment in Jaffna, was alive with joy and community spirit as it hosted a touching event for 25 students from J\/Nallur Kaasipillai Vidyalayam, as part of its ‘The Thinnai for the Community’ programme.<\/p>\n

The initiative, aimed at supporting underprivileged children, allowed these students to see their wishes come true. Back in December 2024, the hotel invited the students to create wish lists for school supplies, which were then displayed on a ‘Wish Tree’ in the hotel\u2019s lobby. Generous guests helped fulfil these wishes by donating funds for the much-needed supplies.<\/p>\n

The event was a vibrant celebration, with the children enjoying games, snacks, and performances. They shared songs, speeches, and heartfelt gratitude, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The afternoon was not only filled with fun but also served as a reminder of the impact that small acts of kindness can have on the lives of others.<\/p>\n

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of a donor, the school principal, and several teachers, who joined the children inwitnessing the fulfilment of their wishes. Their participation
\nhighlighted the importance of collaboration between local businesses, educators, and the community in making a positive difference.<\/p>\n

A sincere thank you was extended to all those who made the event possible. The hotel\u2019s management and staff, as well as the donors, associates, and suppliers, were praised for their generosity and
\ncommitment to supporting the community. This event served as a powerful reminder of the difference collective goodwill can make.<\/p>\n

The hotel\u2019s \u2018Wish Tree\u2019 initiative is part of its broader sustainability efforts, underscoring its ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community. Looking ahead, the team is eager to
\ncontinue such initiatives, spreading hope and joy throughout Jaffna.<\/p>\n
