<\/p>\nAnother event under the concept of \u2018Sanasa Ahead\u2019 was successfully held on July 9, 2024, at the main hall of Sanasa University, Paragammana, Kegalle. The event was led by the founder of Sanasa, Dr. P. Kirivanvandeniya, and organized by officials of the Sanasa Group. A total of 292 presidents and managers from 147 societies representing the districts of Kegalle, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya participated in the full-day programme.<\/p>\n
During the proceedings, further discussion about the \u2018Sanasa Ahead\u2019 project and the progress of the projects implemented through Sanasa committees across Sri Lanka took place. The problems faced by the members were also discussed, along with future project implementation plans.<\/p>\n
The officials present promised to share the relevant information with the members, who expressed their agreement to provide the project beneficiaries’ information by July 3. The organizing committee also discussed the need to hold a workshop to disseminate this information to the membership.<\/p>\n
Kegalle Government Veterinary Officer Dr. K.K. Vindya Melanie, who joined the event as a resource person, educated the attendees about animal husbandry and egg livelihood development. Mr. W.M. Wijeratne, the agriculture consultant of Paragammana Agricultural Service Center, spoke about the benefits of Ambun banana cultivation.<\/p>\n
Mr. P.A. Kirivandeniya, said that the \u2018Sanasa Suryaya\u2019 programme was introduced as a ten-year project to recover from the economic crisis faced by the country in the past and to strengthen the manufacturing economy of Sri Lanka. He further stated that through the practical implementation of the programme, economic stability can be achieved by every family, from the lower strata to the upper strata of society.<\/p>\n
